Madison's Cell Line strikes stem cell deal with Ambry
Madison stem cell company Cell Line Genetics has an exclusive agreement to distribute a product line aimed at stem cell researchers developed by Ambry Genetics, a diagnostics services company in Aliso Viejo, Calif.
Roberto Herrera, Cell Line's chief business officer, says the agreement will let the two companies develop products together and will give the Madison business a new revenue stream.
Cell Line, whose mission is quality assurance, has 20 employees and expects to add staff as a result of the Ambry contract.
Ambry also has a relationship with another Madison company, Roche NimbleGen. Ambry is the first company certified to process all of NimbleGen's DNA-related testing products.
